Background
In Indonesia, the tradition of green tea, often referred to as “teh hijau,” intertwines cultural heritage with health and relaxation. Introduced centuries ago, likely by Chinese traders, green tea gradually rooted itself in Indonesian culture, becoming more than just a beverage.
Today, the tradition continues, with Indonesians cherishing green tea not only for its taste but also for its cultural significance. Its journey from ancient origins to a cherished part of Indonesian heritage speaks volumes about the fusion of traditions and the enduring appeal of this beloved beverage.
Idea & Concept
Omiyago’s concept for the Green Tea packaging draws inspiration from the terraced landscapes of tea gardens. Mirroring the tiered structure of these gardens, the design encapsulates a captivating pattern that echoes the layered consistency of green tea.
This innovative approach explores the depths of taste and texture, creating an exceptional visual narrative that reflects the nuanced layers found within the tea itself.
